Cassatt is easily the most beautiful cat whose company I occasionally have the pleasure of keeping, though she... it's not so much that she's unfriendly, as it is that she's high-strung, and doesn't really like to be around many people. She is easily Riordon's cat, having decided so immediately, when Riordon was quite young. She spends most of her days in Riordon's windowseat, next to the radiator, and her nights in Riordon's loft bed whose ladder she's learn to climb up and down.
Cassatt is O'Keeffe's litter sister, they were the only two kittens of their litter. Though their patterns are similar, unlike O'Keefe who is the colour of New Mexico and marmalade, Cassatt is white, and grey, with just a smidge of ginger on her nose, looking very similar to the artist for which she is named's paintings of women and children.
Like all of the other cats, she comes when is called, particularly when the 'feeding the cats' song that Marn and Riordon made up is sung. It goes: Three cats, three cats, three hungry cats!
